Established to promote financial inclusion, Yonna Microfinance Ltd.is one of The Gambia’s leading Shariah compliant microfinance institutions. With a foundation built on trust, integrity, and community empowerment, we provide accessible financial services that support individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses across the country.

OUR HISTORY

Yonna Islamic Microfinance was granted a full license on April 2021, to operate as a Non-Bank Financial Institution under the Central Bank of The Gambia. We conduct Shariah compliant financial intermediation, including raising deposits and providing interest free loans to the public. Our doors opened to the community on June 17th, 2021, and the official launch, graced by the CEO of Yonna Group, marked our commitment to fostering economic growth through ethical finance. Today, we proudly serve Gambians with accessible and responsible financial solutions, empowering communities to thrive.

OUR PURPOSE

At Yonna Islamic Microfinance, our goal is to provide financial services to all Gambians, especially those at the base of the economic pyramid. We serve market vendors, farmers, fishermen, tailors, taxi drivers, and other contributors to the economy, offering ethical and accessible financial solutions. We empower our clients through a business model grounded in accessibility, convenience, and flexibility. As a 100% Gambian owned institution with an entirely Gambian workforce, we are dedicated to uplifting lives and enabling Gambians to contribute meaningfully to national development.
